Using Microsoft Teams to Create a Poll
Did you know you can use Microsoft Teams to send out a poll? If you need quick responses from members of your team, a poll can be a great way to get this information in an asynchronous manner. Here are the steps for creating a poll in Microsoft Teams.
In Teams, go to the bottom of the screen and click start a new conversation. You will then click on the three dots that indicate more options and select forms.
Step Two
Once you have opened the forms option it will give you the opportunity to create a question. You can then provide multiple options as potential answers. You can set it so that everyone can only pick one option, or you can allow them to select multiple options.
Step Three
Once you have filled in your potential answers, you will click next and will go to the page where you can check your question to make sure you aren’t missing anything. If you notice anything wrong, you have the option to edit. If it looks good, you will hit submit.
Step Four
To ensure you get all the responses you need, you can @ mention whoever should be responding when you finish creating it. This will alert them to respond.
Benefits of Polls
A major benefit of using the poll option in Microsoft Teams is how quickly and easily you can gather information. For example, maybe you need to hold a staff meeting and need to know what days or times people are available. Make a quick poll and you will soon have all your responses easily laid out to help you make your decision.
